LIGHTS OF AMERICA 9166B Fluorex Replacement Bulb, 65W

I bought this bulb a few months ago and it performs as well as the one it replaced. It is mounted about fifteen feet from the ground on my barn. It puts out plenty of light and is economical to run.Something happened that caused me to research CFLs a little more. We are in southern Arizona and get about 10 to 20 nights a year below freezing. Occasionally we get a hard freeze down to around 20 degrees. That is pipe bursting weather and thankfully does not happen often. We recently had three nights of hard freezes in a row and this lamp did not light. As soon as the weather returned to normal the light started working again. I had forgotten that this had happened a few years ago with the old bulb. Apparently cold weather affects CFLs .

This was a replacement bulb for an outside light. Works well.

I've been using these for about 5 years now.I replaced my old style outside lights with these.A much smaller foot print but still puts out a great deal of bright light.The bulbs seem to last a couple of years on average.That's burning every night/365 days a year.I have them switch on with a auto calender light switch that tracks the daylight hours.I recommend these as well as the auto light switches.A good value.

This is my second set of these lights. I use them for my plants so they are on about 6 hours a day. They don't last very long but they do the job and they're not too expensive. I purchased these lights from Amazon.

I bought this outdoor fixture about three years ago, I had good service from it and the light ok .The Lowes and Home depot both sell the fixtue but do not carry the bulbs.So buying from Amazon was the next best thing. I beleive this is a good light and helps with the energy bill from the old mercury vapor light I use to have. The main difference is 55w verses 175w. and the light is about the same. I hoping to get another three years from the new bulb and if not at that time I will replace the fixture with something else. I noticed others give this light a low score because they said they go out, mine has not done this but I only have one to score from. This light is quite with no buzing comes on at dusk off at dawn every day of the week.

I purchased this bulb and it only lasted a year.. I made a mistake ordering the wrong size the first time because the picture showed a bigger base than it actually was so I ended up paying for 2 lights.. the shipping is expensive so I kept it. I have no other choice but to purchase until I find another company that has a bulb for my outdoor lamp.

They came fast which was great because you can not find them anywhere around where I live. They have such a lovely glow and i love you can put a dimmer on them.

I was unable to find this bulb locally. When I found it on Amazon I was worried that it wouldn’t fit. I received the order quickly and it was a perfect fit. I couldn’t be happier.
