Game changer for kids
My now 5 year old son, who is on the spectrum, has always struggled with hair cuts. Every single time we’ve dealt with screaming, crying, gagging, & him trying to run away from the clippers. I saw that these were supposedly really quiet and great for kids, so I took a chance & replaced my old faithful ones. When I say there was a night & day difference, I mean it! I let him hear how much quieter they were than the others, then he sat for his entire haircut, proclaiming what a good job he was doing! No tears, no whining, & he felt so cool having his own cape to wear as well! Definitely wish I would have purchased these sooner and saved a few years of stress! They’re corded, which isn’t the most convenient thing in the world, but it’s a trade-off that is well worth it.

Looks like that's my next hair cutter!
I've been cutting my own hair for over 10 years now. Probably around 15 years. I am pretty "hard core" i.e. I use blades only, no combs, and just try to get the closest cut I can. I've also used rechargeable cutters so far just because, well, there's no cable so you can be much more flexible about where you use them (e.g. in the bath to reduce mess) and there's no annoying cable, but after using these for the last few years I kind of gave up on them because battery operation seems to decrease over the years and unlike, say, cordless drills, it's much more complicated to buy a new battery - you might as well just replace the whole thing. So after replacing two of them, i went back to the good old corded cutters.I like this one because it's very plain and simple. Nice design, comfortable rubber grip and simple on/off switch and they say that the whole thing can't be broken no matter what you do.Main thing is how it cuts - and based on just one haircut so far, it seems like it does a very good job. Seems to be as close as the Wahl "ultra close cut" products to me. It's also very smooth and relatively quiet comparing to other cutters i had. Build quality looks great but I haven't "tested" it so I'll take their word for it.One thing that remains to be seen is durability, or in simple words how long will this cutter keeps performing at this level. I'm hoping it will last forever and there's also a lifetime guarantee but note that it does not include the blades. The blades, btw, are removable. Not sure why or if this is a good thing or not...So bottom line: had many cutters, this is actually my 6th one if i haven't lost count. Some corded, and some cordless. This is so far my favorite one, right up there with the Wahl 'Close cut' products which I also liked a lot.

Excellent value clippers, performed well after 1st use
My first pair of hair clippers and I gave myself a buzzcut in the bathtub. I wish the cable was 3ft longer, but I just used an extension cord. Guide combs clip on tight, and do their job well. I've heard that the plastic guide combs are easy to break, but I haven't experience anything like that after my first haircut with these. I have coarse, stiff hair and the clippers cut them with ease. 3-5 passes with the clippers gave me a pretty even cut. These get a bit warm in the hand after 20 minutes of continuous cutting, but it is not too unpleasant. The rubber housing is grippy and comfortable for DIY buzz cut. The noise is similar, perhaps a little quieter than the ones I've experience in hair salons. The included brush is good for getting out hair from the clippers. Removing the blade for oiling and hair removal is a bit clumsy, It would be nice if they included a hex key to remove the clipper blade. I can foresee the screws and pcs for the head will get worn down over time.Based on my first experience w these, i think these clippers will easily last another 10 haircuts. Given I paid $15 for this, this will easy pay for itself. If I had $35 to spend I think I'd prefer the wahl elite pro's with the nicer guide combs.I really wish size 10 (1.25") and size 12 (1.5") guide combs were more popular and included in kits like this, but they seem to be a rarity-- no kits have them.

To all who read reviews....
To all who read reviews...This is a U.S. 110 Volt plug in only NON-WATER Proof trimmer. Purchased from Amazon, received on time. And new, would have exchanged for new if otherwise; it's Amazon. When used correctly it is well worth the money. It will not/does not/has not scratched, cut or pulled on my coarse beard, or head, neck, and other body hair when no guards are used.It has cut, Trimmed, and buzzed even for my needs.I have been using trimmers and clippers since 1987 myself.Yes, this would be better cordless and Waterproof. But, I'll take scratchless and less damage to my person and sensitive areas over a little inconvenience any day. Also, I used this several times visiting family the past two years before purchasing. They also bought one for their son a few years ago.To the 1 stars1. This is only for 110 Voltage outlets, i.e. U.S. plugs NOT European/foreign plugs OR use with a converter. Will damage product.2. Stated in questions four years ago by manufacturer. Your fault Mr. One Star reviewer.3. Clean properly after use and oil as needed. Blades and motor will work for a long time.4. As with all plug-in products. Read at least the BIG Warning ⚠️ instructions. Warning could cause Harm/DEATH to you, a biggie to always read. Back to no. 1.And a Caution ⚠️ instruction damage equipment/product or injury person(s). IF Anything READ That5. If an item comes damaged or used return immediately for New item. It's Amazon, they will fulfill the original order. Unless you mistakenly order a used one accidentally. Then try to explain mix up.6. Nothing is perfect. Except my wife is close.Good luck to you.
