A bit disappointed at the printing of the paperback
This book is well written, easy to understand, and very informative. That's why I have both the ebook edition and recently bought the printed one for quick reference. However, the printed version turn out to be just black and white while the ebook is fully colored. The colors in ebook make it easier to match the screen shots with the actual Peoplesoft Financial and the colored pictures are actually much more clear too. I did not look inside because i assumed they would be exactly the same. A bit disappointed.

For End Users, not for implementers.
Very basic, not in depth. An end users guide, not an IT implementer guide. Also surprisingly short, given the complexity of the product it is describing.

Find something better
There are not many good books written on PeopleSoft - this is another one to pass over wish I would have.

Awesome foundation book: first of its kind
This book provides a great foundation for PeopleSoft financials. The screenshots look updated with the new PeopleTools 8.5x look and allow the reader to visualize what the author is describing. Not only does the author provide configuration and usage of the system, he also adds valuable real world scenarios to help a reader understand the business side of things.Chapter one did a great job providing an overview and foundation for the rest of the book. I felt it was a bit long, but there was a lot to cover. Next the security chapter gives you a good view of how security works in PeopleSoft applications and it also explains the preferences settings that go along with security. The following chapters walk through the key modules: Billing, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Expenses, and Commitment Control. Each chapter tied the module in with the rest of the system, explained the main setup options, and showed the pages used to make it work.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting an overview of Financials or wanting to understand the basics of the system. This book is the place to start! For a more detailed review, please check out my blog: [...]

Good study base for certifications
Most of subjects covered on a technical point of view.Lack a little bit of detail, examples to underline these subjects. It would have been really appreciated.
