EK USA Big Wolf Dog Collar

I just had to post this. These pictures are of a VERY OLD - bought in 2001 - EK USA collar that FINALLY broke in 2017. I used it for my first dog who was a 117 LBS. Black Lab who pulled on lead - I was the only one strong enough to walk him. And when he passed away, my Border Collie Pitt inherited the collar from 2015-2017. My Border Collie Pitt was also an 87 LBS. puller on lead. This collar FINALLY FAILED in 2017 - the plastic clasp came apart twice when my Border Collie Pitt tried to chase a deer whilst on lead. I was upset at first at the collar failing - my dog could have been hit by a car - but then again, what collar lasts 16 years with a plastic clasp against two heavy duty pullers? I will be buying this collar again and seeing how it holds up - or does not hold up. (To see if EK is still making collars that last over a decade of pulling from robust dogs). The D ring use to be the fattest, strongest thing on any collar - see the third photo. I look forward to seeing how this collar stacks up. Stay tuned. It is coming in the mail soon.For those who do not know - and the picture makes it hard to tell he is on a Queen size bed- this is what my 117 LBS. baby Lab looked like. If he was standing up; it would be obvious. He was 5/8 th’s the size of a Large St. Bernard. Those can be 158 LBS. Large. LOL
