Huion L4S LED Light Box A4 Ultra-Thin USB Powered Adjustable Light Pad for Tracing

I bought this model of lightbox and then saw the LB4 model with battery and plug. It said that it had 1700 lumens and this one had 1100 so I bought the other one and compared the two. The screens were the same size but the overall size was 1 1/2 inches longer on the battery operated lb4. So I tested both on the usb plugs and they looked about the same to me. And when I put them both on wall plugs I thought this smaller model was actually brighter than the lb4. This one comes with the same cord as the other one, but doesnt have a regular wall plug adapter. If you are like me you have a number of them lying around from phones, tablets, ect, so that wasnt much of a draw back. The battery operated lb4 does produce less light on the battery mode in case you were wondering. Enough to see art work below a sheet of computer paper, but probably not thicker water color paper. If you are used to working on a tall old fashioned lightbox with florescent bulbs you will love the flat plane of this box. And how easy it is to store and get out for little projects.

I've been meaning to get a light board for tracing or inking without ruining my original drawing. This light board is exactly what I was looking for. It's thin and light weight, easy to carry and handle. The light is extremely bright and vibrant. It's more than big enough for the jobs I need it for.I was a bit concerned at a lack of a wireless/battery powered option, but the cord it comes with is very long and doesn't get in the way for me, so it's a nonissue. The only criticism I can think of is that maybe the way you dim and brighten the light is a little weird. It's all done with one button, which is also the power button. Sometimes I accidentally turn it off when I was trying to dim the light. I feel that if there were 3 separate buttons, one for power, one for dimming, and one for brightening, that would save some trouble. But once you're used to it, it's pretty easy to control.All and all, a good product at a good price.

this is a replacement order- the other lightbox stopped working- the power plug connection is not designed very well, but overall the light box works as advertised- maybe at some point the power plug can be redesigned better***Updated Review*** The company responded and offered a small rebate for my trouble with the power cord, as well as passed the info to the design team to see if they could improve the plug issue for future products. Maybe even look into putting a rechargable battery like they have in other Huion products. The light board is very cool- it is light weight and very easy to use- it replaced an ancient large light table. This is my second light table from Huion and I also purchased a Huion drawing tablet- so far their stuff has been pretty good quality and works very well.

This works wonderfully! Now I don't have to stand in the window tracing my drawings to paint anymore. I did take out the protection policy only because I had read so many people complain about the wiring coming out when pulling out the electrical connector. Because of that, so far I have left the electrical cord in the light box. BUT, when I travel or put it away for awhile, I will have to unplug it. I will do it as carefully as possible. As far as how this works, it shows very well through 140# paper to 140# paper to trace on. I haven't tried anything heavier than that. Also, I have used 2 sheets of sketch paper beneath 140# water color paper for placement corrections. That works very well. This was a great buy! Thank you booknmamma for the extras, also!

Really happy with this. Replaces a clunky old box from the '90's that got hot and had half the surface area. Love the thin profile and the measuring ruler along the edge. I use a USB plug adapter and keep it near my drawing supplies.As to size, I vacillated between this one and the next larger size but overall I'm pleased with the 17". So far, I haven't found a project where I actually needed the larger size. I find that I'm only using the 12 or so inches right in front of my arm anyway and move the image and paper around no matter what size light box. Also, this fits neatly into one of my storage drawers which is a plus.Kinda wondering why I didn't get one of these sooner.

Great illumination through paper, I use heavy watercolor paper and can see through using the brightest setting accurately.A little bummed out that the light pad does not hold a battery charge for very long. I discovered this after first charging the pad for a few hours, using it and then coming back to it the next day.I have experimented with letting it charge for the whole night and for 24 hours without much resolution for this battery issue in sight.My advice to anyone who wants a wire free light pad is to charge it the night before and leave it plugged in until you want to use it.

As an professional Illustrator this lightPad does everything I need it to do. After watching a few Youtube reviews, I bought the LS4 through Amazon because the price was great and the size fit for what I needed. Very happy w/ this purchase. The light is adjustable and bright enough to easily see what you're doing - I often use it w/ 2 sketches underneath my top drawing paper w/ no problems. This model came w/ a USB cable which works fine for me as I usually work at my desk in front of my computer anyway (I actually find this cable very convenient) - this might be an issue for someone expecting to receive a standard outlet plug though. Super lightweight and ultra thin! I was worried that this would make it "fragile" to use... no worries there. This thing is great and I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Awesome finish and quality product. Clear view through 300 GSM paper. The cable length is also adequate for most purposes.Price can be a bit lower.
