The picture is terrific. However
I bought twelve of these, one for each bathroom in my mansion and one in the garage for my cars to watch. The picture is terrific. However, if it was water resistant them I would give it 5 stars; the steam from the showers seem to distort the picture. I now have my mistress stand with a plastic cover over the TV when I am watching it from the shower

BEST PICTURE FOR $3K 2016!
Excellent picture quality for the $3k price. I compared it to the new 2016 Samsung KS9500 (about $3300) 65inch curved at my local BB. Both are full array back lighting which is a must for me since coming from a plasma 65in Panasonic vt30. I look for deepest blacks which in my opinion give the best contrast in color. I do miss some of the newer internet functions; however picture quality was my priority. The sony connector for cable management which allows for one cable from tv to connector box for multiple HDMI inputs causes some lag. I can confirm this because I use an HDMI splitter to 2 tv's and there was a delay in the audio (this was used in my prior set with direct connection off the splitter and there was no audio lag. I would connect all sources directly to the tv because of this issue. 1080 is my primary viewing source with direct which I feel this set provides the best quality. 4k picture is excellent!

TV failed after 2-1/2 Years.
Used about 10-hours/week, the XBR65X950B (2014 Model) TV failed, with the LED just below the screen giving 6-blinks. This indicated a hardware failure which, from my investigation, would require a circuit-board costing around $700.00 plus installation. Of course I am very disappointed, having paid $5998.00 for this TV. I have bought SONY for several years now, partly because the various components 'play well together'. (Also had a SONY BluRay player fail early a few years back).I'll be buying a SONY oled TV to replace this, but it will be my last SONY if I see another premature failure.

Best quality for the money!
As far as I can tell and I've done a lot of research on TV'S in this price range, this is the best bang for the buck. My last tv was a Sony KDS-R60XBR1 which was pretty much the best tv you could get back in 2005 and it was an awesome tv despite not being a true 1080P. Anyway, I go caught up in the Amazon Summer Black Friday nonsense and wanted a 4K 3D tv.Based on my prior positive experience with Sony and the dramatic price drop of this model I gave it a shot. I have to been disappointed. The current seller got the tv to me on time and the box was in mint condition and the tv after unboxing it was so mint. The actual tv has really great picture quality and does a superb job of upscaling content. For settings I use CINEMA 1 with a few additional tweaks. On the White level control I turned down the GREEN a few notches. If you Google a bit you can see there are a handful of professional reviews with some that offer video settings. Also, the 3D glasses work pretty well and if you're savvy with downloading movies you can actually d/l 3D movies and they will still work with the glasses.Overall, I feel that for the 2K range you can't find a much better tv despite it being a 2014 model. I'm anticipating keeping this thing for at least 7 - 10 years if my last Sony is any indication!

The programing and setup is very easy but you will need 2 people to mount it
I was skeptical about buying a 2 year old TV that was NIB. I read all of the Amazon reviews and also Crutchfield, PC mag and many others. This TV is unbelievable. Even in 2D mode the picture has a lot more depth than my Panasonic 50 inch plasma which is still outstanding and in my spare bedroom now. The color is very vivid and have not noticed any blurring or shadowing. The programing and setup is very easy but you will need 2 people to mount it, it is very large. The 3D glasses sync automatically and seem to work just fine at any angle. This TV was price much lower on Amazon than the Sony website or any other website that I looked at. The delivery was free and 2 people brought it to my house on a scheduled delivery date/time. If you want an awesome TV, then this is the one. Although 3D and 4K are not available through cable or satellite you will be prepared for when they are. Would definitely recommend if this is the size and type of TV that you want.

The color and scene refresh is great. I watch a lot of TV all sorts ...
This is an incredible TV. The picture is so sharp it almost hurts your eyes. The blacks are deep and the whites are bright. The color and scene refresh is great. I watch a lot of TV all sorts of venues. This TV is outstanding. I owned the Sony XBR65X850b first and it was incredible. The 950b out performs the 850b with a brighter picture and most impressive 3D content. The active 3D picture is WOW! HBO runs 3D content and it was impressive on the 850b but the 950b brings 3D view to the next level. I have only owned the 950b for a week so I will reserve a return review for later down the road. Until then I am enjoying the best in home viewing I have ever owned. PS I did purchase the 4 year protection plan with this TV from Assurant for $160.00 just in case.
