I've been using X-Jow for arthritis pain and am so happy with the results. I have severe osteoarthritis in both my hips, my shoulder, and my hands. I cannot take most pain medications, especially NSAIDs because they make my usually normal blood pressure spike to unhealthy levels, and frankly, I don't even like taking pills unless I absolutely have to. When I use X-Jow, it takes the edge off my pain, so I can function. I sleep in a recliner because sleeping in bed is too painful. However, there are days I have such severe pain that I can't stay asleep even in the recliner. Using X-Jow also helps me get a good night's rest because I am not waking up from the sharp burning pain in my hips or shoulder.To get optimal results when I use X-Jow, I work it into my skin with 2 or 3 applications, so it gets absorbed thoroughly. If you use it on your hands like I do, do not touch your eyes until you have washed your hands thoroughly. I massage it into my hands and wait about 10-15 minutes before I wash my hands. X-Jow makes it possible for me to get to work and function in my daily life. I think that the reason I get better results from X-Jow than other menthol-based pain gels is that X-Jow has a special combination of Chinese herbs that make it more effective. I checked out the Herb-X website and found out they have an X-Jow liniment spray, which I plan to try next.

I bought this for my fiancee who was experiencing ongoing back pain. The ointment really helped her with pain and healing. On January 4 right before I was supposed to fly across country I tweaked my back. It's a recurring injury that happens about once a year and usually lasts 3 days. I was nervous because I had to fly. My fiancee applied the X-jow to the spot and it started working right away. I only had minor discomfort on my 6 hour plane flight which was a miracle. She applied it again before I went to bed and I woke up injury free and without any pain or discomfort. I highly recommend this product for its pain relief and healing properties.

After trying many of the same products with the same ingredients, I was desperate to find something to help with my tennis elbow. I’ve been playing tennis for many years and while not as quick as I once was, I still enjoy the game. When I started having elbow pain about 8 weeks ago, I began trying the various creams and rubs but none of them helped at all. Some temporary tingling and that was it. I found X-JOW while searching Amazon. I have been using it for about a week and wow, it has made a huge difference in my elbow pain. The pain has decreased significantly.   Great product! Highly recommend!

This actually took away a stomach ache a couple of times. I haven't tried it on my back much.

I don't think it relieves the pain, as much as the it's so menthol-y that it creates the illusion of the pain not being there. It definitely does not stop pain, just the menthol distracting you from the pain.

Great stuff! It worked in one application (within 15 minutes) for my teen daughter's tight shoulder/neck pain that gave her a headache. Worked great for my own shoulder pain from sleeping in a bad position and waking with pain, within minutes of rubbing it in. Visiting a friend who has a lot of foot and leg pain this weekend and bringing this with me to try it on her. So I'll update this review if I can. But very satisfied for my own complaints. I love that this is gel isn't messy and absorbs quick. Great that it's got turmeric as an anti-inflammatory and corydalis for pain!

This was expensive; it smelled icky; it caused a rash (so use caution if you have a lot of allergies); it didn't relieve my pain at all. For me, it was a waste of money and cost even more as I ended up having to see a doc for the rash on my foot.

I am a musician and have wrist pain . I would always wake up in the middle of the night with elbow pain and numb hands. From the FIRST time I used this, applied liberally to my elbows, and wrists before bed that has not happened since…I bought two bottles and will buy more. It also has a nice “icy hot” feel to it that I also find soothing.
