Great Power supply.
Thermaltake? Who is Thermaltake?Well Thermaltake, is and has been for years, one of the premiere manufacturer's of high quality computer related items. Whether you need a computer case, power supply, or a cooling product you cannot go wrong buying a Thermaltake. This particular Power Supply (PS) went into a new custom built medium performance Windows 7 64 bit machine. It happened to be a replacement for a Corsair PS that was purchased on special but was (DOA) defective when it arrived. When the Thermaltake (PS) was installed the new computer fired right up and has been speeding along since. I have purchased many Thermaltake products over the years and have never been let down by low quality or breakdowns. As a matter of fact I have retired several of my earlier (10+ years old) custom built computers and the Thermaltake products were still in good shape and operational! You won't be sorry buying Thermaltake products.

High quality power
Had a maddening issue with my PC spontaneously rebooting after about 20-30 mins of being on. Swapped vid card, memory, processor...nothing helped. Was about to plunk down a good bit of change for upgrading my mobo + CPU + RAM, when I realized my PSU was almost 5 years old. Decided to take a chance and go for buying a new PSU, and always had good things to say about Thermaltake. Needless to say, the rebooting went away after the PSU swap. Heck of a lot cheaper than a full core upgrade too!

Modular Power Supply
[Review edited as my previous review was mixed up with another review I wrote, hence this correction.]My experiences with Thermaltake are great!! My last computer system build (in a Thermaltake Tower case) contained their 650 watt power supply. That power supply served my system for more than ten (10) years without a problem. When that power supply failed I bought another Thermaltake 650 watt power supply. This new one has modular plug-ins for various drives/video cards. I got it from Amazon and it worked perfectly after installation.

Solid performer
I've used Thermaltake in the past and the products are well built. Power supply comes with an adequate cable selection that plugs into the end of the case. Some PCI cables have red connectors to identify which socket they plug into other cables like power and SATA power cables have standard black connectors.Using the power supply for an i5 processor and a B75 GIGABYTE board. Not a heavy load being used, just HDD and R/W DVD. So plenty of punch left for future expansion.

Good to go
I like the modular part but maybe adding some short extensions for the sata cable would be better than just having to add the second full length one.

it works just like it should
So far, it works just like it should. Stable power. Modular cabling eliminates a lot of the old-school wire mess! Powering an AMD 6-core PC with Radeon R7 360 board. I will revise this review if it croaks within a year. This was bought for a new scratch-build PC.

Solid Power Supply
This is my first semi-modular PSU. The last Chinese PSU I had made my computer shutdown without a load even on it and would most likely just ruin my parts all together. The only bad thing about it is the cable netting shows some of the orange and yellow wires on the main 24 pin connector.
