Heaven and Earth: Making the Psychic Connection

I've had very few encounters with spirits, and I wanted to improve that and get more control over it. I've been looking for a guide, and hadn't found MY guide until I picked up this book. It's my first introduction to James Van Praagh, so I was surprised to find how connected I felt from the very first page. I do think that the book is a little light on guidance and more on personal anecdotes, but the information is proving useful. I felt so strongly that he is a teacher that I need, I immediately signed up for one of his seminars in my area.Finding guides and teachers is an extremely personal process, and what works for one may not work for another. Because of this, I can't recommend one person over another, but I DO recommend this book as a launching pad for further study.

This is an amazing description of so many questions that I had about spirit world and how we interact with them as humans. I have already recommended the book to a couple of friends and I am sure I will listen to it more than once. I love the fact that it is narrated by James! He is so awesome to listen to and brings the book to life! I can't wait to read more of his books as well.

The thing I like best about James is he explains the whole universe, not just how the spiritual world relates to earth. He speaks to how other worlds tie in to earth and why we're all here together. After many years of reading and studying many heart books and authors, James takes it that step further so I feel I'm getting the "whole picture". Thank you sir.

James van Praagh books have changed my life. There IS an afterlife. I am unaware of having a "gift", but by engaging in the spiritual exercises and studying these inspired books, I have communicated with my loved ones many times and felt the intense power of ethereal love. Actually, I have made changes in my life...less judgmental, more accepting, broadened my perspective, and more joyful.

I started reading James Van Prague after picking up a co-workers Ghosts Among Us. I was hooked. Since then I have read all his books, and his latest work Growing Up In Heaven just arrived this week also from Amazon.This one was mostly just a rehash for me, after reading all his other works. but I really like his style of writing so he always keeps me interested. In my opinion, he his the best writer of this topic in the field, and keeps "normal" people who have just a passing interest in this field spellbound!

Like others I have an intense curiosity about, "What I should be doing with this life I have", or Where exactly do we progress to after we leave our physical body. I knew that losing a spouse after 40+ yrs would change my life but what I didn't expect was the severe empty grief I experienced after the loss of an adult Son. This obviously has changed how I feel about life, death, goals, and the universe. Reading this book is encouraging me to read more and expand my knowledge on areas I never questioned before. I can't say it changed feelings but it helps to become more knowledgeable. I'd love to think my Son is here with me but I'm left with earthly human blindness.

I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has lost a loved one, is interested in what happens when we die, and how you can open yourself to receiving communication from the other side. This book is written in a way that allows you to visualize the steps to take to meditate. As someone who has recently lost the most important person in my life and, as a result, begun looking much deeper into meditation and communication with the other side, I would sincerely suggest this book for annyone who is trying to find comfort.
