Smaller yet powerful
These trimmers fit naturally in your hands with the comfortable round wooden grips which have just the right amount of padding. The cutting action is clean and precise and the notched limb cutter works well to cut larger pieces with ease. The blades look robust and should provide years of good service since they are able to be resharpened.Overall a great value for the price.

Fantastic Quality
This the 2nd pair of shears from the company. 1st pair survived a decade of work clearing heavy forest undergrowth. From thornbushes to vines these things work incredibly well and the steel is good quality.

Well-made, should last, they do the job
They did not come very sharp but I went out immediately anyway and trimmed some small weedy growth of vines and honeysuckle coming over the fence and they worked well in spite of not being as sharp as they should be. The notch helps with larger diameter stuff up to 1/2" but it struggles to cut that thick, you need to snap it together forcefully. They do seem well-made and built to last. I sharpened them up to my liking after their first use and noted they are easy enough to sharpen on a grinding wheel, you do not need to take them apart which is a plus to grind a nice even edge. Finishing up with a small fine stone, they now have a sharp edge. I'm happy with this purchase!

Very well made solid value
I needed a new pair of shears and bought a pair from my local big box home store. I'm cutting ornamental grasses back, arborvitaes, and some thin branched hedges (privet type hedges). The shears from the box store could not cut this light stuff!! I could not believe! The grass would go between the blades and not get cut, there was a gap.I needed a new pair because my old pair were finally worn out. Since I had to return the useless shears to the big box home store, I decided to see if I could order another pair of what I had because they lasted for YEARS and were great. To my amazement I had a pair of Corona model HS 3911, and they are still being made today, and they were available on Amazon! These Corona HS 3911 shears are perfect for cutting ornamental grasses and thin stuff where you want easy precise cuts. They probably won't be cutting thick branches, but they are not made for that. If you need to cut thick stuff get loppers. These things are like giant scissors, super sharp, well made, solid steel and hardwood construction. They cut like budda and are identical to the pair I bought YEARS ago. I was thinking I needed to pay $70 or $80 for a decent pair of shears these days given what I got from the home store, but these Corona shears are all you need. I would have happily paid double as long as they were good quality, like the stuff you use to get! Luckily I didn't have to.If you are on the fence, get these. I'm sure they will last me as many years as my last pair did. Good job Corona!

Ok but small
These are are nice but they are very dainty. Perfect for a lady but maybe too small for a man.

Effective and sturdy
These were great at chopping back an overgrown bush with decently thick branches. They seem like they'll hold up for a long time.

Disappointing
I thought it would be like the shears I had when younger, but these have a gap between the blades, making them no better than the stamped steel versions
