Vantec LapCool X7 17-Inch Widescreen Notebook Cooler with 120mm Fan (LPC-120-BL)

I regret purchasing this laptop pad. It is made of hard plastic and what the pictures don't show is that there isn't a lip to hold the laptop on it and there are two "legs" at the top corner to hold the pad at a stand angle. What this means is that if you put this on a table, the downward slop actually allows my HP Envy Touch to slip off the stand quite easily. Plus if you use it to hold the laptop on your lap (to avoid the heat form the laptop to heat up your lap), the plastic legs dig into your flesh legs. I hate it. The pictures of the item are inadequate.

unexpected: the black part is made of kind of a crappy plastic, but i have dropped it a few times and it has refused to break....lolkeeps my high powered CPU laptop nice and cool while letting off that cool blue light in the background. i will say. it is not at all for your lap or for moving it around really and you couldn't really take it with you on a trip, but it works well stationary, and looks really cool ;D

I liked the design and the cool blue light, but it just didn't keep my laptop cool enough. Either the lone fan needs more power or they need to add more fans. Also, it wasn't very comfortable on my lap due to the legs, but I would done something to cushion them if it had successfully cooled off my laptop.

seems to keep the laptop cooler then it was but it probably should be used on a laptop smaller then 17"

I have an HP Pavilion dv7, which overheats quickly, especially on my lap. I've tried using a wooden lap desk as well as Speedfan to help it, but still needed something more. This really does help keep the heat down. I like that it tilts the laptop as well.My laptop is 17in and this fits, but just fits.Recommend.

I thought I'd take a shot at this cooling pad and It does cool my laptop down! It used to get real loud while I was gaming like the internal fans were working harder than they should but now that I got the Vantec LapCool its been way quieter and seems to be cooler. I'm happy with this product especially for the price!

I use my lap top on my lap of all places. The laptop got pretty warm after searching and this does the trick very well. Either I'm deaf or the fan is very quite. It's a good fan and does it's thing. Don't be afraid to buy this if your laptop is getting hot. It works

We purchased this cooler for our HP Laptop to help the overheating, since we do a lot of business. We have noticed the HP is now not as hot and the fan is a great addition to our computer. We are going to order 3 more for our kids. Great Product and is very, very quiet when running.
