OM Digital Solutions J300 Microcassette Recorder

Person selling said it was in great condition other than the counter. He was right on! Works great and I was so glad he fully disclosed the counter not working as I didn’t need that anyway. Great value !

This micro cassette recorder functions very well. It shipped fast. Highly recommend.

I like the size and it is convenient to carry in a breast pocket. When I want to transcribe class notes, I prefer an earbud for private listening so I can work in the library. This unit has a port, but requires the micro size jack which regular earbuds do not have. Even finding an adapter is difficult. The mini cassettes are easy to fine at office supply stores, but the earbud jacks are nearly impossible to find.

Used, but good condition. Works fine. Good value for a pocket recorder that would have cost much more new. I bought a cable to hook it up to my computer and transfer tape sound to digital. Using this for old tapes of my dad’s interview years ago. Great to hear his voice again!

This is the third used recorder ordered from different vendors. I usually get Sony or Olympus. Usually says "excellent" or very good. All 3 were partly or entirely broken on arrival. This one had no spring on the door to the microcassette. Worked for about a month and quit. I don't know how to ask for refunds and it is not worth the time to go to the post office. I have used these for 30 years. When they were high tech and new they lasted 2 to 4 years. Now it is often just days for the used ones. I will try the new digital ones soon;. This will be my 3rd J300 recorder. my 1st J300 record was what I recorded my 1st EVP “Hi, Mom” from my son. Who would have thought! 👍👍👍👍❤️

A nice recorder, but you might want the J500 instead. This recorder is a stripped down version of the Pearlcorder J500. It lacks the Index Marker, the three light battery condition indicator, and the record, play, etc. buttons don't have the gold metal overlay. It's still a nice recorder and a good one if you don't want the other features. I gather the J500 and J300 were sort of meant to replace the old L200 and L400 Pearlcorders, but both of these recorders fail to provide the same features in an analog microcassette recorder that those older recorders did. A real shame.
