great quiet and efficient
Paired with 3800x, aorus elite x570, 5700xt nitro+, 16gb ram, 240mm aio, 1 nvme, 2 ssds. so far no issues. I dont overclock so wasnt worried about 550 watts. barely hear my pc. I bought new cable extensions to make them llok nice

Great support
So I had a negative experience at first - I installed the PSU in my computer and it made a loud popping noise and powered off. This scared me a good bit. After contacting support they express shipped the replacement to me and the new unit is working without issue. Thanks Seasonic!

Power for the people
This is a nice well built unit. The black finish is a welcome change from the usual gray. The fan in the bottom of the unit is a bit different from the usual power supply. The bottom fan position should provide better cooling for the power supply removing heat stress from the unit under high demand conditions.Power plugs were provided for the video cards that need extra power. Some advance planning should be done to determine the power requirements for proper power supply size.My only gripe is the lack of enough SATA power plugs. That was quickly solved using power splinter. People that just have one main disk, and one DVD drive there will not be any problems. When an internal RAID is installed, the power plugs come up short.

Perfect PSU for mid range builds
The headline says it all, this is my go to PSU for mid-range PC builds. I usually go through a different retailer for my needs (I build custom systems) but when I needed one fast no one can beat Amazon!! That is the reason I keep that Prime membership - anything order is here in 2 days.This PSU has enough power to support any mid-range gaming build you throw at at, and its quality is second to none.

Weird whinning noise
Overall great power supply for the money only complaint is a small whinning noise when the power supply is plugged in but the computer is not on

Disappointingly Defective
I love Seasonic products, so this is a hard review to write. This unit went into a build for a friend, then it came right back out and back to Amazon. This power supply had coil whine while the PC was off. As soon as the machine was turned on the whine switched to an electric arcing/buzzing sound. I ruled out the PSU fan as the cause, then I ruled out power line interference by hooking this PSU up to an active PFC UPS. In short, this was a bad power supply.I would chalk that up to a defective unit and order another, except I also bought several of these for my office at different times over the last few months and all of them had similar issues. Seasonic cheaped out on this model—I hope they don’t start doing the same to their higher end power supplies.
