Good quality tripod. Arca compatible mount works well with mount plates from other manufacturers and is quite secure.Not the lightest tripod but is easily carried in most backpacks without issue.

This is a fantastic tripod for travel and lightweight adventures! It features telescoping top shaft, legs and also (and IMO the most important feature other than it's crazy light weight) angle adjustability for it's legs. This allows you to get into all sorts of awkward positions with it and still have a stable and level camera thanks to the ball head.IMO this is NOT for your DSLR with your 24-70. This is for mirrorless cameras and situations where perhaps you don't know if you'll actually need a tripod but want to be on the safe side. The stated capacity of the ballhead is 8.8lbs, which sounds like a lot but in reality if it's extended all the way you're going to have some movement. It isn't the most sturdy thing available but then, it weighs under 2 lbs. You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's for:BackpackersCampingHikingTravelQuick note, if you ever take the ball head off and can't figure out how to get it back on due to the screw being too long, first screw in the 1/4 20 into the tripod all the way and THEN screw in the ball head itself to the tripod. The ball head uses less screw turns than the base does. It puzzled me for awhile until I figured that one out..

It excells with its size. Performs well except that the head is too small and not strong enough (in my feeling). Sut sometimes you cannot expect everything. I am not sure if I can change the head with a better one.

I was looking for a light weight, inexpensive, compact, stable, travel tripod that could hold my Nikon D200 outfitted with a speed light and telephoto lens. This tripod does the job. It is easy to use. Has a nice ball head. Universal fitting. Packs well. Comes with a decent carrying bag. For the cost, I'm very pleased. The only down side, the pan knob is small and difficult to use. Not that much of an issue. I replaced it with a longer handle from another tripod that failed my D200. Now it is much easier to maneuver. The fitting was universal, which enabled me to switch the part out. This is an excellent light weight, compact tripod for a good value. I highly recommend it for heavier semi-pro cameras.

I saw this tripod on demo by the company that makes it at the PhotoPlus Expo in New York City earlier this year. My previous "travel tripod" was showing its age with loosening cheap plastic parts, so I was in the market for something new. The company representatives showed me how easy this tripod was to adjust and take apart. Plus it felt extremely sturdy and the ball head works great. If Sirui was selling them at the show I would have bought it there. Instead I took a cell phone photo of the part number and looked it up on Amazon later in order to buy it here. Very much enjoying this lightweight, compact, sturdy tripod!

I was delighted to receive my new and very attractive tripod ! Not too long after purchasing this tripod through Amazon.com, I was extending one of the legs and IT FELL OFF. I attempted to rectify this problem only to discover the company is in Taiwan. I also discovered parts for this tripod are next to impossible to get. It has been sitting in my closet for over a year. This entire experience has been a total SNAFU from the beginning. Don't waste your $$.

Being a photographer this is exactly what I wanted. Very light weight, and fast to move around. Its very sturdy when lowered to the floor. I use a cannon 60 D with a battery grip so when it is at its maximum height it is somewhat wobbly. Very compact, I typically use the clip where you would add extra weight and clip it to my belt loop and move quickly. I would not recommend this for anything to do with video, unless you are doing video from the ground.

Nice solid tripod as long as you stay in the stated limits of weight. The ball head has much more holding power than even the tripod--very similar to my larges Sirui K-10 head. Folds up to a compact size. Very nice carry bag. Is light weight.
