Does this work on the flat mason jar lids? Can it break the seal without damaging (denting) the lid?

Does this also open the taller lids (over 1/2 inch, as well as under) , like the Brix Maxi?

Would you say, if i bought the metal brix jarkey that i wouldn't need to buy the plastic one?

Will the lid still close and seal after using this?
