E-passion M8 Kitkat Android 4.4 Quad Core Xbmc Streaming Mini Htpc Tv Box Player

So just got it today. Easy setup like most. Got this to replace a Mac Mini. From the start I have great internet at my home. This unit just can't handle the data rates needed for some of the basic stuff. Netflix looks like a old VHS tape from the video store. You need to hook up a Ext hard drive if you want to install app's from the store. The XBMC on this works like all an others, but watch video is even worst. Fail to play. and freezing. I will keep hitting it over the weekend and see if it gets any better. But right now it looks like a Amazon return.So a few hours later I am still checking it out. Did some 3D streaming with XBMC. That worked great. Will post more......... Took it from 1 to 3 stars.

it's ok

This item is a little difficult to understand so it can take a while. I have had to look on Youtube a number of times to get help and I still haven't got a clear understanding of how it works.The worst part is the remote that it comes with, it is extremely touchy and you have to go back and forth in order for to click on the icon you want.

This item is one of the best purchased I've made! The processing power of the M8 is awesome! No video skipping and the videos play as clear as a bell. This is a must have!

It doesn't work out of box. You HAVE to use mouse and keyboard to manage it. It's nearly impossible to do anything using the provided remote. Maybe it have decent hardware and is highly customizable, it is just a chinese android box. Mouse arrows on remote almost doesn't work. Default keyboard allows to enter only chinese or english characters. I used Roku 2 before this box and it was much more user-friendly. I ordered external keyboard/touchpad but if it will not improve overall experience I'm going to return this box.

I had to remove the installed XBMC to install the newest version, but after the install it has worked flawlessly. Great purchase.
