The Idea is great but would have rather up graded this item to an all metal, instead of plastic. Feel this item might not be able to with stand any harsh treatment when on holiday. This is the reason for the low star rating.

This is a great stand. The only problem is the screw does not come high enough to really secure itself to your camera. I always fear my camera will just fall off and that is a nightmare for anyone who has spent quite a bit of money on their cameras
