O'Brien Deluxe Water Carpet 4 Layer 18 x 6 feet, Green

Bought Used in very good condition
Got this thing half price in used condition from the amazon warehouse. Had a few nicks and holes in it.. Filled it with gorilla glue and we're all set. Have not yet used it. The water by me is still a little cold but this thing will get its use very soon. Let me say $600 for a foam pad. Ridiculous. This is four layers, about an inch and a half thick and seems robust. It will probably stand up well if you wash it down after use and store it somewhere dry and out of the sun. I can roll it up by myself to about 2 and a half feet in diameter. Its 6 foot tall when rolled. Its big to travel by boat with and to store. About 45 pounds in weight. Totally manageable but awkward to move around. For me this is a special water toy I will break out only when we are spending a full day on the water by boat. I would recommend thinking if an 18' carpet is necessary because storage is the real kink in the works.. Literally would take up a standard closet on its own just to put it into perspective. I may cut this down to 2-9' carpets if the 18' becomes too much to manage. If you can land a name brand like O'brien for half the price i would recommend certainly, but it may be a wiser purchase to read your reviews and go with an lesser known name brand especially if you may use it sporatically.

Adults and kids both love it!
Best investment for the lake this summer. I purchased this item and ended up having to wait over a month for it to arrive. Amazon issued me a nice courtesy credit for the inconvenience. Thank you! Once it arrived we immediately hit the lake! It's been a huge hit! 5 adults and 3 kids can easily lay across this with it staying afloat. Worth every penny!

Item arrived damaged
Item arrived damaged. The box was not damaged, but the large plastic bag had holes in it, and directly underneath the holes, there are gouges in the water carpet. You can see loose material in the bag as well, where the gouges caused material to break completely off. Based on the box being in fine shape, it appears this damage occurred prior to the water carpet being placed in the box

Good floating pad but badly designed plastic
Pad broke first time (and only) it was used. Not only did the plastic tethers come apart and were lost in the water, the strap buckle broke when we tried to re attach it to the roll. Its thicker and so floats better than the rubber dockie but the RD is a better product

Fun!
This mat has provided many hours of fun at the lake! I has held up very well. We have used it for 2 summers now, and being in the south, that adds up to about 10-11 months of use.
