It seems a lot of products on the market are either shopping bags on wheels without a seat or rollators with/without seats but with little or no storage for shopping - neither of these are ideal for those who cannot carry heavy shopping and also require the ability to sit if needed. I had my eye on this for an elderly family member for a while but couldn’t decide whether to buy it given that it’s not cheap. I liked the look of the turquoise one and am pleased to say that, having eventually purchased one as a surprise, it has been a big hit so far! It gives seniors the independence to continue to be able to walk to their local shops safe in the knowledge that if they are unable to make the walk back in one go they can sit wherever they need to. The owner loves it and despite my concerns she might feel self-conscious taking it out for the first time, quite the opposite was true since she couldn’t wait to get out with it, and her husband was also keen to use it! On the first outing we passed an elderly couple who had a rollator/walker and they stopped to comment how great this was because it does look good! Next, in the supermarket, we were able to place a wire supermarket shopping basket on the seat to put items in during the shop. The inner bag detaches so it’s easy to carry the shopping indoors afterwards in one go, rather than having to keep bending to remove each item individually, and of course you also need to remove the (full) shopping bag if you want to fold the trolley for car transit. You wouldn’t fit a massive shop inside the bag/trolley, but it’s certainly roomy enough for a daily shop, say roughly the size of what you could fit inside a standard supermarket basket. I can see this being useful for days out as well - to the seaside, carrying picnics etc - and just to give confidence for general walking, although the manufacturer makes no claim that it’s a walking aid. However, it does feel sturdy and is useful for those who can get about reasonably well but have times when they might get a bit wobbly or need something to hold on to. (I can only assume it would be good for bus trips to the shops as well, particularly in remote villages that do not provide seats/shelters at bus stops and thus make it difficult for seniors to use the service.)The handle height can be easily adjusted by using the blocker clips supplied. It came fully assembled. There’s an umbrella holder (for long umbrellas) whereby you rest the pointed end of the umbrella in a holder and then velcro the umbrella handle to the trolley handle. I found this also worked well for holding a walking stick. On the back below the handle there’s a useful plastic holder which is large enough to take a telescopic umbrella, and we found it useful for putting our drinks in on a day out as well. There’s a parking brake for when you want to sit, and a separate walking brake - both of which lock the back wheels until released. Finally, you have 3 options for the rotation of the front swivel wheels, which can be easily set so they are completely fixed, rotated 90°, or fully rotated (360°). These have reflectors on too. Do not allow children to handle and/or climb on it.”PS: One year on and all is still well with it. One further observation I'll make now after extended use is that the parking brake could have been better designed. This is because it's a long bar the full length of (and near to) the handle you push the trolley with and easy to accidentally push backwards and lock the brakes. (It needs to be in the forward position all the time for the brake to be off but in this position it's easy to touch by mistake when pushing the trolley.) One of the people who occasionally uses it keeps accidentally putting his hand on this brake when pushing the trolley and then of course it locks the brakes and he can't work out why it won't push, which becomes frustrating. He has short term memory problems so never remembers not to touch it! The other person who uses it more often doesn't have a problem with it except only very occasionally (and then also wouldn't remember how to get the brake off again). Hopefully they have (or will in the future) changed the parking brake design since this purchase in 2019.

Bought this for my mum who is 91 and recovering from a hip replacement. It is light, easy to push and the two brakes (instant and parking brake) mean it's safe on a slope. Easy to adjust the height and it has given Mum confidence to get out and about. The seat is a boon as she gradually increases the length of her outings...people stop her for a chat and she can sit and rest at the same time.The front wheels have 3 settings; fixed/ no swivel, limited swivel and 360 degree swivel. It is totally stable on the last setting. Another reviewer commented on instability: I suspect the front wheels were locked when they tried to turn.It's expensive, but well designed and constructed. The brakes are well thought out as they are easy to reach without letting go of the main handle and light enough for older hands.

First of all, this is not a cheap, but, in this instance, you get what you pay for. It arrived fully built. The seat is sturdy (only for less than 15stone though). There was no messing with wheels or brakes or cable ties. The handle fits the full width of the trolley, is comfortable and can not move. The bag has an internal liner fixed by velco. The parking brake works well, there's a handy looking tray at the top (I think it is for temporary storage of change and small items at the till really) and an umbrella stand at the rear, but for full size umbrellas. There's lots of custom made parts and the materials are of high quality. There are reflectors on the wheels and frame. It has been really carefully designed for its market. It is quite small and doesnt look the least bit bag-lady. The folding mechanism actually works properly and without difficulty. I would definitely recommend it.

We have found the walking brake springs are to strong so my mum cannot use that part. The parking brake is fine, no problem. The Hight adjustable handles are ok, but you cannot move the handle backwards. so if you have a long stride you will kick the trolley. Its not really suitable for shopping where you may have a lot by. But it works well for the day to day use and light shopping. The seat is good. All in all its good.

I love my little shopping trolley, it’s well made, trendy and makes a great little seat when I get tired whilst shopping. It also has plenty of space inside to hold shopping, it even has brakes that you can put on whilst stationary and then release easily. The front wheels rotate from 0 up to 360 degrees via a setting on the front wheels of the trolley, this aids when turning corners and/or manoeuvring about. I’ve seen cheaper models but non as sturdy and well designed as this model, it also comes in a range of colours (various prices), I chose the textured grey one as it goes with almost everything. My friend purchased one after seeing mine so I would definitely recommend buying, ‘never mind the price - see the quality’!

This product is incorrectly described on Amazon; although the sizing information seems to be correctly recorded on the 'instruction leaflet'included with the product, some fool has not transferred those details in full to the blurb published in the website, with the result that the unit is actually significantly-smaller than advertised; in particular, the box beneath the seat is inadequate to transport an adequate amount of shopping for my purposes. The size recorded actually defines a 'cube' into which the entire unit - with handles & wheels - will fit; no information regarding the seat-size or box beneath the seat is shown!

Bought for my mum who had a hip replacement last year and is due to get the other one done soon. She normally uses a walking stick but wanted something that she could walk about the shops with and this looked ideal. She’d seen others using them and asked if I could find something similar. Searching amazon, this one appeared to be the best pick from a large range of options. It was priced ok, and had great reviews.My mum loves it, so looks like we went with the right choice.
