Effective and quiet
The heater works as it should. It heats our small utility room very well and quietly. The installation is straightforward using the thermostat.

Works a treat, delivers a warm stream of air, but noisy on high setting
Fit's nicely under the kitchen units and seems to be able to deliver heat - as is often the case, our kitchen is the only room in the house without heating! I was concerned about overheating due to lack of airflow in a confined space, but the unit has grill holes on either side that allow it to draw in air nicely. On the high setting it is a bit noisy, around the same level as a kettle boiling, but realistically it's just a big fan heater so that's to be expected.Having the separate control unit is good. We don't use the thermostat but having the on / off at counter height is much better than having to bend down to turn it on and off

Warms the whole room
Purchased this for our old kitchen, reasonably small room but meant this heater was able to heat the whole space. Easy to install for the average DIY person. Like all of these types of fan heater they are expensive to run and we've since switched to a plumbed in version, however, if you don't have that option would certainly recommend this product.

Easy to fit, looks good
Bought to replace an old plinth heater. Can’t fault it. Clear instructions and easy to fit. I can’t comment on fitting the thermostat (which comes as standard but is nice rather than need to have). Seemed a fair price too, let’s hope it lasts!

Nice unit, complicated controller set up
This is a nice unit, works well, seems well constructed and the controller looks good. The only problem I had was with the controller. It works great and looks great, but you really need to take your time and prepare yourself for setting it up. The fact that the labelling on the controller buttons sit to the right (rather than immediately above or below) the many front panel switches, means it’s easy to get confused and press the wrong button. This means starting again and again and again! Equally, a more simple “on/off” time could be devised and a “copy day” feature would help. You need to set up each and every day of the week! So my advice is - Take your time, decide what on off times and temperature setting you want and then slowly and carefully set it up. Good luck!

Would refuse to fit this item
Can't comment on the heater reliability as its early days yet. The Heater Control Unit is extremely difficult to fit and I would understand if a sparky refused to fit this item. (By the way, yes of course you need a fused DP spur unit fitted - read IEE (BS 7671) 18th edition requirements, least of all its a fixed appliance!). You have something like 9 amps flowing when on the max 1900 watt setting, so I assume the multi strand flexible cable is sized at 1.5 mm2. However its terminations will simply not fit into the connectors. You have to cut off the soldering in order to squeeze them in. Hence not fitted to design spec. The connectors are too small and very close together - more like an LED lighting circuit than a 2 kilowatt appliance. This is particularly an issue when you fit multi strand cabling. Also fitment into and out of the single gang back box is too confined. The temperature shown on the programmer was 4 degrees C less than measured room temperature! Best I can do is to ditch the Heater Control Unit and simply have a manual on/off control. If the manufacturer says don't fit a socket plug then don't fit a socket plug. (Its too big a flex cable to squeeze into the plug and its connectors). Interestingly the Control Unit is guaranteed for 1 year, but the heater for 2. Confusing. Buyer (and sparky) beware.

Good heater
This is a good heater, and once you work out how to program the timer it works really well. Power output good, I've only ever needed to have it on half power. Looks good fitted, as does programmer on wall. If using programmer you do have to install wiring in wall which should be done by an electrician but heater can be installed using a plug and using front panel switches. I had a problem with the programmer which the seller handled quickly and efficiently. Recommended.
