Great bike, but be wary.
Like many of you reading this, I was looking at buying a relatively inexpensive road bike before I stumbled upon this bike. I had been looking at buying from my LBS, but I really didn't have enough money to purchase what I wanted and CL didn't have anything within my price range for my size.I did my due diligence (watched whatever YouTube videos I could find and read countless online reviews) before I decided to pull the trigger, and I don't regret it. BUT. There are some things that I would love to have known before purchasing the bike:1. The color "Black" isn't black. It may be their version of black, but it is more navy than black. This slightly annoyed me, but not enough to return the bike.2. Assembly wasn't as hard as I was expecting. I have never been a serious rider, but I have also put in plenty of miles riding with my family when I was younger. I wouldn't say it was a breeze, but it wasn't difficult.3. Prepare to received damaged and/or missing pieces. (1) My rear brake cable was frayed and had to be replaced. (2) My handlebar grip tape was terribly done and I got my LBS to retape it. (3) My front brake was missing the washer that clamps the cable.4. Get your LBS to service it before you start riding. I had them fix all of the above issues (none of them were very expensive) and it made me feel a hell-of-a-lot safer when I began riding.5. The tires are not good. I already have a flat after riding 50 miles and on my last ride, there were several corners that I didn't feel safe on.6. I read a lot about the seat and how it should be replaced, but I haven't had any issues. Wear bike shorts and you'll be fine.Overall the bike does have issues but nothing that I thought was severe enough for me to warrant returning it. Overall, it's still great value and the best bike at its price point.

Great bike, but make sure you know how to turn a wrench.
I bought this bike at the end of the summer last year and have put about 500 miles on it. I'm 6'4" (193cm) 225 lbs (102kg) and fit very comfortably on the 61cm frame. I suggest going to your local bike shop to get sized for a bike though. I strongly recommend this bike to any beginners, or riders who are looking for a somewhat less expensive bike. One thing to keep in mind though, you'll need to know/learn a little about bike maintenance.Pros:Excellent bike for the priceClaris group set works wellDurable frameCons:Small parts have tendency to break (an issue you may have with any bike)Wheels don't stay true very long (my heavier weight may have an effect on that)Bike is a tad on the heavy side.Since I bought the bike I've had to make a few major changes/repairs. In order from biggest to smallest; I replaced the crankset when the pedals stripped the screw holes. Cranksets can get VERY expensive, but luckily I got one for free from a friend. That is the only reason this bike doesn't have 5 stars. I also had to replace a spoke not long after getting the bike, and replaced the brake cable because the factory length wouldn't permit a full right turn. I also replaced the seat, but that was personal preference.Overall, I highly recommend this bike, but you will need to fix it up (that's half the fun of owning a bike though!). If you take the time to really tune this bike up, and get everything set how you like it, it will sing for you.

Consider before you buy
I wouldn't advise anyone against purchasing this bike. There are just a few things you need to know before doing so.The price is GREAT, but that comes at a price. You will need to fully dial in and tune up everything about this bike. About $100 at a bike shop, or a few hours of your time if you know what you're doing.I would advise you to look into buying new wheels and tires before purchasing the bike, because the ones they provide are incredibly low quality. So that adds another $200-quite a bit more to your price. If you are one with a boney butt, such as myself, the seat will not suffice. So add another $50.It doesn't come with a kick stand either, so another $10.So now you're looking at a bare minimum of $700 invested.Still an attractive price, but with much more fuss than just paying the $800 or so for a beginner bike all tuned and loved and cared for at a bike shop.

The bike is fine most of the time
When I got the bike I put it together fairly easily (I used to be a bike mechanic) and then took it to my local bike shop to have it tuned up and to have the tires changed. After riding it for about one week The pedal arm came loose, so I tightened it, then it did it again and again. It would stay tight for about 1/2 mile. I now need to take it back to the bike shop so they can figure out why it won't stay tight.

My first road bike is awesome!
This is my first ever road bike and so far I'm loving it! I've been very fit since about my 3rd year in college and now that I'm 28 yrs old, I've picked up a few injuries along the way that are currently preventing me from doing things I used to do with ease. Cycling is a great way to get my cardio done each week, now that running isn't very comfortable.I did a bunch of research before purchasing this bike and it's very good for the money, other brands sell the same quality bikes for hundreds more. My only complaint would be that the tires don't seem to be all that great but new tires for a road bike aren't crazy expensive so no big deal.Bike came 90% assembled and your left with just attaching the seat, handle bars and pedals which is very easy unless you've like never put anything mechanical together in your entire life. I did however take it to a shop before I road it because I noticed that the brakes weren't properly adjusted but other than that I was good to go!I would highly suggest this bike for beginners to cycling like myself who don't have a ton of money right now to spend. And keep in mind folks, bikes are upgradable, so if your not totally fine with certain features just spend a few extra dollars and change them... simple as that!

buena bici
