Trident Case KRAKEN AMS for iPhone 5/5S - Retail Packaging - Blue

I just despise outter boxes, overpriced and klunky in my opinion.I got a Trident case when I got my first Galaxy S3, and it was perfect. Lasted me two years and a year into owning the case, the clip broke! I wasn't upset with that because I'm rough on my phones and Trident has stood up to the test.I've owned a Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and now iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 Plus. Over the last three years these cases have been amazing and perfect for my needs.My only complaints of recent have been, with my first iPhone 5s case the case didn't want to stay on the clip and then the junk that gets into the case from the hole around the home button. Purchasing another iPhone 5s case solved the first problem. Unfortunately I haven't found a fix for the home button issue. But it's still the best case I've ever used for a cell phone and I will continue to use this brand.

In many ways this is an excellent case. It has however one major flaw. It is listed as being compatible with both the iPhone 5 and 5s, however while an iPhone 5s will fit in this case it should never be put in it. There is an open area to reach the home button, it is so small that unless you have child sized fingers you will be unable to touch the home button. With an iPhone 5S this completely removes part of the functionality of the phone.In addition it was difficult to get the case to remain firmly locked into its holster, multiple times I had it fall out of the holster while I was trying it out.Finally the instructions for the case were inside the sealed case. Thus made it difficult to figure out how to get it open as it was not immediately evident. I have decided to return the case for a refund as I can not use it at all.Summation, it seems very durable and has gone through good testing but, if you have a iPhone 5S avoid this case!

I am a huge Trident Case fan. My mom, sister, and I all have purchased them, and in my opinion, this is the best case out there at the best price. Its super protective w/o being bulky and heavy unlike otter boxes another cases similar to that style. I especially like the kickstand, as it is extremely well built. I actually purchased an aegis series case for it and it came with an applicable screen protector. I didn't take it off and now I have 2 screen protectors on my phone, one being on the Kraken Ams and the other from the Aegis Case. Overall, I'd highly recommend this case to the average consumer looking for a highly protective, not bulky iPhone 5s case.

The good:This is a great protective case! Stand works great.the bad:VERY bulky. More that what I thought. home button isn't covered up.Not a great case if you keep this in your pocket.Wish the port covers were attached to the inside silicone case and not to the plastic. Then you could use it without the big outer shell.I sold this and got a smaller case from Trident.

I love Trident Cases, especially this one! The protection is amazing, yet it's sleek and light weight. The build in screen protector is to the touch almost non existent, unlike the OtterBox screen protector which affects the touch navigating. I use the kickstand on the back all of the time. It is super heavy duty. This is my 4th Trident Kraken Ams case. I have one on every Iphone in our house. I would never go with another brand. If your debating between this and an OtterBox, there is no comparison, this hands down is the better.

This case provides a cut out for the fingerprint technology. It works just like there wasn't a case on the phone ! Offers great fall protection and has a kick stand for watching a video or while using FaceTime hands free!I had a Kraken for my iPhone4 and loved it too.***Beware of the folks selling the iPhone 5 Kraken case as a 5S!!! This is the real deal with the cut out for the fingerprint reader. Buy from Amazon directly to avoid the hoaxers(they show pictures of the real deal). Its a shame Amazon allows the bait and switch and doesn't shut them down!***

I had one of these for my 4s before it died and I was forced into an iphone 5. I was at the gym one day and the phone fell about 4 feet out of the locker straight to the tile floor. The case cracked almost completely in half right up the back, but the phone completely survived. I called Trident and after telling them what happened and thanking them for making such an excellent product, they sent me another case within a few days. Excellent product and their customer service was just as outstanding.

Ok case for the $. It doesn't have any protection for the apple logo, camera, and home button tho. Dirt and grime gets under the screen protector and back of case. I like the AMS system so u can swap out accessories.
