Patagonia's reason for being: Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire, and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. Patagonia grew out of a small company that made tools for climbers, as a result Alpinism remains at the heart of a worldwide business that still makes clothing and shoes for climbing--as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, paddling and trail running. In each of these sports, the reward comes in the form of hard-won grace and moments of connection between the athlete and nature. Patagonia's values reflect those of a business started by a band of climbers and surfers, and the minimalist style they promoted; the approach they take towards product design demonstrates a bias for simplicity and utility. At Patagonia, a love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them, and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of the planet. Patagonia donates their time, services and at least 1% of sales to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups all over the world who work to help reverse the tide, and they work steadily to reduce any pollution and harms caused by their business activity. They use recycled polyester in many of their clothes and only organic, rather than pesticide-intensive, cotton. Staying true to their core values during thirty-plus years in business has helped create a company the employees are proud to run and work for, and their focus on making the best products possible has brought success in the marketplace.

Perfect Flats!
I bought these shoes because I wanted a flat that looks good dressed up for the office and down for casual wear. They are perfect with dresses, dress pants, shorts and jeans.I have the Merrell Avesso flats but they rub the backs of my heels raw. I do not have that problem with these shoes. They are not as sturdy or padded as the Merrell Avesso flats but I'm okay with that and I could tell that from the pictures of the shoe. I think these shoes are quite comfortable.I wear an 8 to 9 depending on brand. I ordered these in a 8.5 and they fit perfectly.I first bought these in the brown color but loved them so much I bought them in black immediately after. I want them in every color!

Best Flat Ever.
I have 3 pairs of these flats now, and I'll keep buying them for life.I have slightly wide feet, so these were snug after the first wear, but a perfect fit after and so comfortable. It's perfect for spring and fall, before it gets too rainy to use. I took my first pair and wore them everywhere in Spain for two weeks last year, easily putting a mile in them a day, maybe even 2, with low discomfort, which is saying something for someone with plantar's fasciitis.Note that this is still a flat, I wouldn't wear them for a full day or walking and not expect tired feet at the least. But they're the best flat around and that EVA sole means you can just keep going and going and going...The one caveat is that, at least for the black version, the dye from the sole will transfer onto your feet, so by the end of the day, your feet look pretty gross. But, it comes off pretty easily with a shower. it still looks gross, so I can't give 5 stars until Patagonia improves the dye problem.

Great for light walks
Was looking for a breathable, comfortable shoes with a simple design to walk all-day in. The shoe on its own was not enough arch support for me so I can walk comfortably early half of the day but noticed significant fatigue by the evening. For me my size was a little too loose, which gave me an opportunity to use my own insoles, helping to be on my feet longer. My biggest disappointment was the breathability of it seeing the product name and the mesh material; however it didn't keep my feet dry any more than other types of "comfort shoes" I wear.

Not pleased
Pros: Nice style. Period.Cons: Looked cheaply made. Dunno why it costs so much for the quality it appears to be.And second, I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but mine came looking very used. That alone is a reason to return it. Also, minor detail, the top of the shoe was too low and pressedinto my foot just above my toes. And an even more minor detail, I didn't like how it looked on my foot. Your foot's gotta be able to "pull it off" and mine didn't.Update: sent it back to Amazon. Dunno what happened. They took off $6 from my refund to return this junky shoe while it has free returns! Contacted them and hope the error will be fixed.

Best Shoes Ever
I love these shoes so much! They fit perfectly without needing to be broken in and don't rub the back of my heel raw like some flats have. I'm usually a 9.5 in shoes without socks (10 with socks, feet slightly on the wide side) and these are perfect. The mesh looks opaque when they're worn but there's so much airflow they feel like sandals. The leather insole is cushy and awesome. There's not firm arch support but it squishes to form to your feet for light arch support. I bought a pair in a second color because they're just that perfect and amazing. They seem well-made and I hope they last forever!

Barefoot support
I have plantar fasciitis and have been advised not to walk barefoot any longer. This is difficult advice for me to follow. I bought the Patagonia Maha Breathe to wear primarily around the house. They are light and comfortable, offering a modest amount of support in the heel and arch, easy to slip on--almost like being barefoot! I also plan to take them on an international trip where I will be hiking during the day. They look nice enough to wear out for dinner and, of course, they are very light and will be easy to pack.

Length was fine, just width was an issue
These are a little tight even though reviews said they run big. Length was fine, just width was an issue. I don't wear these much. I am a brown neutral loving lady and these were a bit drab even for me. They don't feel like they are staying my feet well either.. they are eh....I kinda wish I'd have returned them...
